Newsletter 10 -

Apologies for repeating myself but this UK weather's ridiculous, isn't it???? The brass monkey's squiddly diddlies are laughing compared to mine.....jeepers!!! I hear Devon has taken a smack on the chops today. Saying that...isn't snow just absolutely superb?? This is a very embarrassing admission but sticking with the theme of ice......are any of you sad enough, like my goodself, to watch 'Dancing on Ice' of a Sunday night? If so, isn't the scouse ventriloquist's dummy, Ray Quinn, just out of this world???? Hmm, I think I need to move swiftly on before the 'Unsubscribe instantly' tab at the top of this newsletter starts to fray at the edges.

Update

Sir Linkalot will be out and about visiting schools a fair amount this year, telling our cherubs about Thinkalink and all who sail in her. Apologies for using this as an advertising window but do let me know if you'd like me to come into your local school (UK wide) . If you haven't seen it already, you can see me in action on the RHS of the site 'Sir Linkalot's School Assembly'.  After the assembly I do workshops dividing them into small groups and getting them to link as a team......it's a hoot and they love it.

Some new categories this month include American Vice-Presidents, Maths Times Tables, Lagers of the World, Days of the Week in French (Phil Isaac's link for 'Wednesday' is legendary), Stations of the Cross, Harry Potter books (the order of release) and Doctor Who (the order of). This is the beauty of linking, the categories are endless.

Don't forget that if you want any fact linked then put the request in and we'll see what our linkers can come up with!

Your chance to get involved

The site is a meeting-place for linkers & learners alike. So if you have a link for anything, absolutely anything, regardless of how random the fact is, then submit it and let's see what the punters think. If it's a 'beauty mate' (to quote the Wiggles) then it will go in the book (as will your name).

Feedback

I would love to get your thoughts and observations on the site, good or bad. This has been a passion of mine since 1995 and it's finally come to fruition which is hugely exciting. It's new territory for me so any guidance or tips on what does and doesn't work will be warmly received - please let me know at andy.salmon@thinkalink.co.uk

Top Linkers

Congratulations to the following 10 linkers for having the highest average score, per link, for January.

The linker in the number 1 spot, come Dec 31st, will be crowned Champion Linker for 2009 and receive a trophy. Bear in mind that this is how you will be known in the book. So it maybe worth changing your user name to your real name & city to prove to your friends that it is actually you!
